On September 29, the sub-forum of the Digital apparel International Talent Academic and Industry Exchange Conference—the "Forum on the Construction and Innovation of apparel Majors in the Digital Intelligence Era"—was held at the International apparel Release Center on the 5th floor of Yifa Textile City in Hangzhou. Hosted by Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, the event brought together expert representatives from over 50 apparel colleges and universities nationwide, along with government leaders and industry enterprise representatives, to engage in in-depth exchanges on integrated education of AI and apparel majors, as well as talent cultivation reform directions.
During the forum, representatives from educational institutions directly addressed the pain points: How can school-enterprise cooperation be sustained and targeted over the long term? How can AI be integrated into teaching practices to improve efficiency without weakening hands-on skills such as pattern making, cutting, and craftsmanship? How can real industry scenarios be presented to students? How can faculty resources be shared? These reflections point to the "deep water zone" of industry-education integration.
Ms. Xie, Operations Director of Yifa International Textile Center, stated in his speech that Yifa is willing to transform market resources into educational resources and work with universities to make talent cultivation deeper and more solid. Rooted in the fashion industry for many years, Yifa Commercial Group has formed an industrial ecosystem covering fabric and accessory trading, industrial supporting services, supply chain services, brand incubation, and international exchange. We always regard talent as the core of industrial upgrading and continue to deepen our efforts in industry training, school-enterprise cooperation, and talent incubation.
Relying on Yifa Light Textile City, we provide colleges and universities with real and cutting-edge industry scenarios through fabric and accessory resources, market merchants, brand enterprises, and international exchange networks. Relying on Yifa Academy, we adhere to a "practice-oriented and application-oriented" approach, regularly carrying out practical training, school-enterprise study tours, and thematic empowerment, delivering courses to frontline markets, downstream sales destinations, and source factories. Relying on the Yifa Entrepreneurs Club, we connect brand owners, design and R&D heads, and supply chain entrepreneurs to promote industry mentors entering classrooms, students entering markets, and projects entering enterprises, opening up channels for internships and practical training, employment and entrepreneurship, and commercialization of achievements. Our 9 Yifa Women's Wholesale Center has also established long-term new media cooperation with students from multiple universities, allowing students to participate in content creation, brand communication, and new media operations in real business scenarios, truly binding "industry" and "education" into a single rope.
Entrepreneur representative Yan Weibo, founder of "Yibushe," offered suggestions from the frontline of enterprises: entrust students with "real practice" and involve them in product R&D through project-based approaches; promote the advancement of talent matching and, through internships, practical training, and enterprise mentors entering classrooms, synchronize "talent selection" and "talent cultivation" earlier. Zhang Huijie, Deputy Secretary-General of the Yifa Entrepreneurs Club, stated that in the future, they look forward to co-cultivating talent and jointly promoting employment with universities, opening up employment opportunities for outstanding fresh graduates.
During the forum, participating representatives also visited Yifa Textile City and the Yifa Academy talent cultivation base to experience the pulse of the frontline industry on the ground, and engaged in free exchanges and discussions to speak their minds and collide ideas.
Taking this forum as an opportunity, Yifa has more genuinely heard the pain points and expectations of apparel colleges and universities nationwide regarding industry-education integration. Looking to the future, Yifa will continue to rely on its whole-industry-chain ecosystem to walk in the same direction and deeply collaborate with universities, promoting the interlinking and mutual empowerment of the education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain, continuously injecting new strength into the high-quality development of digital fashion and the fashion industry.
